Senior .Net/Data Software Engineer (Payroll or Freelance)

We are looking for a Senior .Net/Data Software Engineer to join our Product Compliance team. You will play a key role in building the foundation of a Supplier Compliance Portal – combining software engineering skills with enterprise-scale data engineering.

This position is ideal for a software engineer who enjoys working with .NET but is equally strong in data flows, modelling and performance optimization in a cloud and event-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1 (Months 1–3):

• Stabilize and scale supplier dataflows.

• Set up read replicas, caching strategies, and dedicated supplier data stores.

• Build ingestion pipelines (Kafka/Event-driven APIs).

Phase 2 (Months 4–6):

• Design and optimize complex product “where-used” queries.

• Implement BOM explosion logic and compliance data models.

• Develop .NET services for business logic and integrations.

Phase 3 (Months 7–9):

• Build reporting structures and dashboards.

• Optimize query performance and support reporting teams.

What we expect from you

• Proven experience in .NET development (C#, backend services, APIs).

• Strong expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, including replication, modelling and performance tuning.

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud.

• Familiarity with Kafka or other event/streaming platforms.

• Ability to design scalable data flows and advanced data models.

• Bonus: experience in compliance or product data environments.
