About the role

Brainsquare is looking for a Java/Oracle Support Engineer to join our international support team working on critical enterprise applications. You will ensure the stability and performance of key business systems by troubleshooting issues, supporting users, and collaborating closely with development and infrastructure teams.

This is a full-time position within Brainsquare India (Mumbai region), with rotational shifts and on-call responsibilities. You will become part of a high-impact environment where your insights and solutions contribute directly to the operational continuity of complex platforms.

Your main tasks

  • Provide application support for Java-based systems and Oracle PL/SQL components in production and pre-production environments

  • Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes

  • Collaborate with developers and IT infrastructure teams to resolve issues and improve system reliability

  • Analyze and maintain PL/SQL business logic within Oracle databases

  • Identify and propose automation or improvement opportunities to reduce repetitive incidents

  • Maintain clear documentation of incidents, fixes, and workarounds

  • Participate in on-call rotation and be available to intervene remotely as needed

Job requirements

What we are looking for in you

  • 2–4 years of experience in a support, operations, or application maintenance role

  • Solid knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL

  • Hands-on experience supporting Java-based applications and application servers

  • Analytical mindset and structured approach to troubleshooting and RCA

  • Comfortable working in rotational shifts and flexible availability for support

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and time zones

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced enterprise context

Nice to have

  • Experience in logistics or supply chain systems (WMS, TMS)

  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow

  • Basic scripting skills and familiarity with Linux environments

  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools
