Front-end Developer (Payroll or Freelance)

Your mission:

We are looking for a Frontend Developer (React/TypeScript) to strengthen the team working on the Customer Portal of an AI-driven risk assessment platform. The portal allows organizations to analyze customer and transaction data with the support of machine learning models.

You will work in a small but highly skilled team, alongside the lead developer and data science experts, to ensure the delivery of the MVP. The focus is on implementing bug fixes, improvements and new features in the frontend, while gaining exposure to AWS-based backend services.

What you will do:

• Contribute to the further development of the Customer Portal (React/TypeScript/Next.js)

• Implement bug fixes, improvements, and new features to meet the MVP deadline

• Collaborate with the lead developer, business investigator, and data scientists

• Integrate APIs (tRPC and AWS services) into the frontend

• Work on-site in Leuven 3–4 days per week, as part of a collaborative enterprise environment

What we are looking for in you:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, or equivalent experience

• 3+ years (medior) or 5+ years (senior) experience in frontend development

• Strong skills in React, Next.js and TypeScript

• Experience with API integration (tRPC or similar)

• Familiar with AWS services (Aurora, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SageMaker) is a plus

• Proven track record in delivering enterprise-grade applications

• Problem-solver with a structured and independent way of working

• Strong communicator and team player in cross-functional teams

• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus

• Willing to work on-site in Leuven 3 - 4 days/week
