EI Support Engineer - SAP
About the role:
Brainsquare is expanding its offshore support capacity within a dynamic international environment supporting complex enterprise integration landscapes. We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Integration (EI) Support Engineer with strong SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and/or SAP Process Orchestration (SAP PO) knowledge to provide L2/L3 support, monitoring and continuous improvement within a complex integration ecosystem.
You will collaborate with global colleagues to ensure reliable and high-performance integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems -supporting ongoing modernization from on-prem to cloud-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues primarily within SAP BTP Integration Suite environments (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh), with exposure to SAP Process Orchestration (PI/PO) as part of legacy or transition scenarios.
Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for failed message flows or connectivity problems.
Collaborate closely with SAP Basis and Application teams to maintain interface health and SLA compliance.
Handle incident, service request, and change management via ITSM tooling (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
Support migration and transition initiatives from SAP PO to SAP BTP Integration Suite, ensuring continuity and stability of existing integrations.
Provide documentation and operational runbooks for recurring support topics.
Ensure proactive monitoring and propose automation or alerting improvements.
Job requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience in integration support or middleware administration.
Hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh) is strongly preferred.
Experience with SAP Process Orchestration (PI/PO) is considered relevant when combined with a solid understanding of modern, cloud-based integration patterns or migration scenarios.Understanding of modern integration architectures (API-first, event-driven, cloud-native) is a strong asset.
Solid understanding of integration protocols (SOAP, REST, IDoc, RFC, OData, SFTP, JDBC, etc.).
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as SAP PI/PO Runtime Workbench, SAP Integration Suite Monitoring or similar.
Familiarity with transport management, CTS+ and version control processes within SAP landscapes.
Experience with ticket handling and incident management workflows (ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk).
Excellent analytical and communication skills in English.
Nice-to-have skills:
Basic exposure to SAP ABAP debugging for interface tracing.
Experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, or non-SAP third-party systems.
Knowledge of cloud deployment and DevOps concepts (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, etc.).
Prior experience in an offshore support or shared-service environment.
