EI Support Engineer

About the role:

As an EI Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth communication between complex enterprise systems.
You’ll troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve data and application integrations used by major clients in Europe.
This is a hybrid role that combines technical ownership of integrations with support and incident resolution — ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems in dynamic environments.

You’ll work closely with our integration engineers, architects, and business teams to identify issues, enhance performance, and contribute to the overall reliability of the integration landscape.

Your impact:

  • Maintain and monitor integration flows between enterprise systems (on-prem & cloud)

  • Investigate and resolve incidents related to data exchange, APIs, or messaging processes

  • Participate in deployment and change management activities for integration components

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure preventive actions are documented

  • Collaborate with development teams on new or enhanced integration flows

  • Support version upgrades and coordinate releases with stakeholders in Belgium and India

Job requirements

Candidate profile

Must-have skills:

  • 1 - 4 years of experience in Enterprise Integration AND/OR Application Support Engineering

  • Hands-on experience with APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration protocols (JSON, XML, HTTP, FTP, etc.)

  • Familiarity with middleware or integration platforms (e.g. IBM App Connect & API Connect, Azure Integration Services, or similar)

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for production issues

  • Basic knowledge of SQL for log analysis and data validation

  • Experience working in Agile / ITIL-based environments

  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate with distributed team

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Exposure to Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, Service Bus, or Event Grid

  • Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)

  • Understanding of monitoring tools (App Insights, Splunk, Grafana)

  • Knowledge of API management and security concepts (OAuth, JWT)
